This site is dedicated to the reconstruction and maintenance of New Hampshire's Infrastructure. This includes roads, bridges, water, wastewater, schools, energy, ports, airports, railroads, solid waste, hazardous waste, dams, trails and mass transit. Content includes news stories from across the state from newspapers, legislative updates, and a mix of original content.
Homelessness and infrastructure are informally tied. Site visits to bridge projects or most urban projects where new ground is being broken frequently find the areas being used by homeless populations. There is a serious problem that seems to be only getting worse. At some point we are going to have to stop herding them from one property to the next and come up with a sustainable solution. During a brief stint working at a homeless shelter I met a lot of decent people who at some point in their lives had made some mistakes, which they would admit, but now were trapped in a pattern they could not get out of by themselves.
